  • Nov. 11: Mon. SCHOOL CLOSED (Veteran's Day) 

  • Nov. 14: Thurs. HALF-DAY  DISMISSAL AT 11:30 a.m.

  • Nov. 14th - 15th:BAKE SALE

  • Nov 19: Tues. CLASS Picture Day; WEAR SCHOOL UNIFORM!

  • Nov. 20: Wed. INDIVIDUAL Picture Day; Dress Your Best

  • Nov. 20: Wed. Parent Walking Club 8:30 a.m.

  • Nov. 21: Dad's Bring Your Child to School Day

  • Nov. 22: Fri. November Birthday Celebrations (Parents! Please remember this is the day to arrange to bring things to class if your child's birthday happens during the month of October)  

  • Nov. 28 - 29: SCHOOL CLOSED (Thanksgiving Recess)

 

By the end of the year, you can expect your child to: 

  • follow class rules

  • cut along a line with scissors

  • Establish left-or right-hand dominance

  • Understand the concepts of yesterday, today, and tomorrow

  • Stand quietly on line

  • Recognize and write the letters of the alphabet in upper and lowercase forms.

  • Know the relationship between letters and the sounds they make

  • Spell his/her first and last name

  • Recognize sight words such as the and read simple sentences

  • Retell a story that has been read aloud

  • Identify and be able to write numbers 0-20

  • Solve addition and subtraction problems with numbers  0-10

  • Know his/her address and phone number 

  • Ask and answer questions related to Kindergarten texts/stories, events and conversations

New News..
In order to best address the individual needs of each student in KIndergarten-
the children are participating in Fundations, Core knowledge, Ready Gen, Ready Up, Reading A-Z, and several programs, such as, IReady, Max Scholar, and Raz Kids.
Please feel free to ask your child's teacher as to which programs have been selected to help enrich their academics.

WRITING - Students are learning to all about books. They are giving information to show what experts they are about different topics.

MATH - Students are learning to recognize, read, write, show with objects, and count numbers 5-10

SCIENCE - Students are learning about animal homes. We are learning all about where different animals live.

SOCIAL STUDIES - Students are learning about the school and the school community.
